The glass ceiling

Taken at the National Museum Singapore. Queuing up can be fun if you look at whats around you. I looked a the most beautiful glass ceiling.

And later our patience paid off and we saw the following masterpiece. The starry night. Van Gogh you are amazing.

The picture doesn't do the actual painting any justice. Like the man said "For my part, I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream." Vincent Van Gogh

Hercules and the birds. Ancient mythology has it that the Stymphalian birds were man eaters who attacked the Argonauts and Hercules triumphed over these birds. It was his sixth labor. He had six more to go.

The pic below is about a family at an opera booth. I loved the amazement in the ladies eyes. I wonder which opera she was watching.

The painting below was that of Samson and Delilah. For those who haven't read heard of the story before, Samson was a strong man, his hair was his source of strength. Delilah a beautiful maiden was sent to weaken Samson. Once she found out his secret, she cut of his hair in his sleep.

I am so glad we went. And on the way out. The ceiling looked even better.
